Victims of the flash flooding and landslides in the southern provinces of the Philippines are still battling with the aftermath. I’m not forcing anyone to do anything. I’m merely here to inform of what you can do, regardless where you are.
The Red Cross and UNICEF are just two of the international organizations that are helping with the cause. Simply go to their websites for your region and find the links to donate.
To put things into perspective:
A $12 donation to UNICEF can provide 3 kids, victims of floods in the Philippines, with life-saving oral rehydration treatment.
A $25 donation to UNICEF can provide 2 families with clean drinking water for a month for victims of floods in the Philippines.
A $35 donation to UNICEF can provide 3 families with hygiene kits.
A $47 donation can provide sleeping blankets for 5 families in evacuation centers.
It’s Christmas in just a few days. Often times we overlook what we have and find more time to complain than appreciate what’s around us. Children, men, women, whole families will be spending their Christmas in evacuation centers, mourning for the loss of loved ones with nothing more than the clothes they have on their back.
Give a little. Save lives.
We need everyone to help in any way.
